Gwendraeth Valley Motor Club are happy to announce the WAMC Tarmacadam Championship season opening Rali Cwm Gwendraeth 2012. Pembrey will play host to this perennial season opening blast that also marks the start of Gwendraeth Valley Motor Club’s 40th anniversary year. A celebratory year for the club that will begin with an anniversary gift to competitors* of £1 off the entry fee for every year the club has existed. That’s £40 off! We really hope we get to give lots of competitors this wonderful anniversary gift – please, take us up on it and make it a great day!

At just £160** Rali Cwm Gwendraeth 2012 is fantastic value for money. Even if you don’t intend on doing the WAMC Tarmacadam Rally Championship this event at that great price makes for a good shakedown event ahead of the Tour of Epynt. It’s much easier to address little issues at Pembrey than up on Epynt’s sprawling stages.

Announcing the Winter Rally Time Trial 2011

We’re happy to announce Gwendraeth Valley Motor Club’s 2011 Winter Rally Time Trial at Pembrey. This new event will be a rapid fire rally sprint using some of the most challenging parts of the Welsh Motor Sports Centre at Pembrey. A tight technical test of talent and speed which we think has a definite Belgian flavour – without the 700+ mile round trip, ferry crossing and VOSA ticket for overloading the van with cheap Euro-booze. Pembrey’s beach road has the flat, tricky & often slippery nature of Belgium’s dyke lined lanes and the kart-track offers plenty of technical stuff to reward the quickest drivers.

So that you can get the most out of your day you can share your car with a double entry for just £150, a single entry is £80. You’ll get five timed runs plus one practise run over the 2.5 mile course and there’s even a road rally car class.

Just to let you all now before pepole go off on one we at GVMC are also holding a forum on the day with EXPERT NAVIGATORS at the start venue and the rest halt for both novice and beginer navigator to have a chat and pick up sum tips there will also be a chance to lern how to plot as there will be a small table top preperd for this time and that will also be on 159!

Morswyn Williams Memorial Novice Road Rally

This year will see the rekindling of yet another old rally in a different format.

This years MORSWYN WILLIAMS ROAD RALLY will be run for the novice and beginners of the road rally community and this dose not mean YOU EXPERTS.

The event will run a split format of special tests on private land in the day followed by approx 80 mile road rally through the night all on tarmac NO WHITES and all on one map 159. Spots will not be permitted for this event.

We will keep you informed on the progres and the regs will be posted in the near futre hear.

2011 Welsh Dragon Tyres Road Rally – Final Instructions

Only a few more sleeps until the flag drops on this year’s Welsh Dragon Tyres Road Rally and the seventy five crews entered are raring to go on this, possibly – the best road rally on map 159. Competitors can download final instructions, a map of the start venue, scrutineering & signing on along with the final entry list here or can be printed directly from below – click menu on the left of the panel then print.

Can we remind competitors to read and fully comprehend the final instructions along with the event’s supplementary regulations. In particular we draw your attention to the sections requiring you to provide a marshal and ensure they have the following: Reflective hi-vis vest/jacket, A torch, Clipboard & Pens, A Map etc. Remember no marshal = no start.

Spectators, can we ask that you park sensibly around the start venue and advise you that the police will be present and have been known to issue tickets to drivers who park in dangerous, discourteous or daft places. This happens to members on club nights so you can be sure the same will happen on rally night. You will find additional parking spaces next to the village hall, a short walk (even I manage it) from the start venue. Any anti social driving will be reported to the police and we will support any prosecution that results.
